I've currently got a ix gt.The car has an AMS intercooler, apexi air filter, uprated fuel pump, uprated hybrid bb titanium turbo (not sure of make)gizzmo boost controller and been ecutek'd.(320 atw - 420 atf)
this car was tuned and mapped by a highly regarded tuner here in the uk.
on the high setting he set the max boost to 1.9 Bar and said the stock internals can handle more but 1.9 was safe.
Here in the uk alot of people seem to think this would require a rod and bolt job to be safe at this boost.
whats the feeling on this over here.the car is mostly used on the road with the occasional track day.

600whp @ 36psi, stock rod bolts. 8000rpm limit.

ask anybody that knows anything about physics. The cause of a rod failure is a function of rpm fatigue and not from horsepower. You will never even come close to applying as much stress on a rod from pure horsepower.

Stock rods are fine for any horsepower level really, but I would personally never rev a motor with stock rods past its stock rev limit unless it had lighter pistons.

The question is how long can the stock internals hold 500whp

and its Torque that'll kill the bottom end...

^ +1 whats the most tq people have ran on stock bottom end? FP blew two rods out of their stock block HTA Green with 500hp/500tq at 35psi. Even if it holds 500tq it won't for long. I think 400tq is a good safe zone and anything over 425-450 is pushing it!

Low rpm/high tq (around 3500-4000 boost spike) will "S" shape your rods and high rpm with snap rods. imo So you can still blow your motor even if you don't rev above "redline" for the people that say you can't!
