Vacumn Hoses

Ok so im in the middle of doing my rebuild and while im at it i want to replace all the vacumn hoses, because before the motor blew i had a boost leak that i pretty much pinpointed to some of the hoses.

Now my question is can i just go down to the auto parts store and get some vacumn hose of the right size and cut it to length or do i need to replace them with OEM hoses?

As long as they're quality hoses pick some up. Don't have to be oem hoses.

Most local auto part stores should stock the correct hoses you need without you having to pay the high price for "OEM". Create a list and take it by one of the stores to see what you can find. Good luck. You can also try RussellM here on EvoM, he has the hook-up for "OEM" if you want to go that route.

That would be the boost pills inside the stock lines coming from the wastegate.

Exactly what he said^. That only refers to the section of line from the turbo to the boost solenoid. It restricts some of the air going through there, like a stock boost controller basically. It needs to have that pill in there to run normal. This is only if everything is stock. If you have boost controller of any sort, disregard this.
