Clutch dragging?? What is the cause?
Clutch dragging?? What is the cause?
My clutch is dragging slightly and it is brand new with a junk fidanza flywheel so I am going to take that out this weekend and put in a brand new stocker.
What would cause this issue? I have a brand new clutch kit,t.o.b,slave cyl and stainless line.
It has been blead properly and I had tried adjusting it both ways with no change so I am at a loss here.

I had two effin Exedy twin's for my 03 and each install the clutch would drag bad even with the clutch rod extended way out. I'd try that first but it's prolly the install like mine was (although I just sold the car and never fixed it).
I'd be sitting at a dead stop, clutch in, try to go into first and the car would go forward a little - dragging.

Did you check to see if the disc moved freely on the input shaft?
The reason I ask is that I have seen where new disc's hung up slightly on input shaft causing the disc to drag slightly on the flywheel and causing poor shifting, gears grinding or lock out all together. I know it is too late to check now but in the future it is a good habit to get in to.

I will check the movement of the disk on the output shaft tomorrow when I pull the trans, I am actually thinking maybe the output shaft has twisted slightly
I have seen evos do that before so I dunno? But I will have an answer by tomorrow night.
