I'm kinda in the same boat now too, looking at ACT HDSS right now. Trying to find the best price. I see you're in Glendale, I'm in Goodyear. Do you go to the meets on Sunday nights?

Me as well. This has to be the hardest decision I've had to make with this car yet. Whatever I read though, everyone says save up and buy an Exedy Twin Disc. A clutch is not something I want to skimp on so I'm going this route.

Yeah, everyone pretty much just says the one they have is the best (unless they are having problems with it) or to just go with the Exedy twin. But not all of us have that kinda cash laying around or plan on having 800+hp, I'm will probably never get over 400hp and that's still pretty far in the future. I though about the Exedy twin but it seems kinda overkill for about 350hp (not there yet), so I'll just go with the ACT HDSS, can get it for about $550 shipped.

I am currently putting in a stage 3 plus clutch masters with an aluminum flywheel. 1g plus install price. Thats for the clutch and aluminum flywheel. I have a 400whp goal but its my dd and i play about once a month with it. Should be a great clutch with close to stock drivabilty.

Yeah, everyone knows this. But why spend so much on a clutch when all you need is one that will support 400ish HP, it would be nice to have top of the line parts for everything but that is why there are different stages of clutches. We all don't drive around with AMS built motors with 35r turbine, boosting 40 psi, most are daily drivers. Mine is a DD and I will never have more than 350hp, so I will never have a twin disc clutch, OVERKILL and a waste of money. But, to each his own.

I have a HDSS with the prolite flywheel at this time and I like it but would have preferred to have gone with the XTSS from ACT(love the prolite flywheel). The HP doesn't affect your clutch choice as much as TQ does so just keep that in mind.

Nolimitmotors is actually 499 shipped, after some more research looks like I'm going to go with the XTSS, Mapperformace price matches so either one would be good.
