I had a question to you Chad. What type of bearing does the BBK use? If it uses the same style bearing wouldn't the BBK benefit from the FP oil feed from the filter? I know FP sugggest if running more then 25psi to use this oil feed. But don't you think if a customer was to run 30psi all day everyday that the BBK would experience the same bearing failure assuming your turbo uses the same style of bearing.
the BBK uses the stock ix internals

you have to consider larger wheels at higher boost are going to change the amount of load/thrust/etc that the catridge takes.... The bbk isnt a massively large turbo... and 30psi on a 40lbs/min turbo isnt the same as 30 psi on a 60lbs/min turbo!!

Cheers

If he was only going to run 25 psi wouldn't he be better off with something other then a red. From what I've read the red doesn't really come alive until 30 psi. So he might be better off with something like the HTA green or BBK full

I have been telling him from way back when that a BBK Full or HTA Green would better suit him. But I don't really know about the 25psi wouldn't be good for him. For example when my car was being tuned and the tuner was trying to dial in the boost controller he set a goal of 20psi which it held till redline. 20 psi I made 400 or 420. I like to go to the drag strip so I know this turbo is better for me. Plus my over all goal was 500-550 hp on stock engine and for me the Red was the perfect choice. The good thing about the BBK and HTA Green is spool up time is like lightning fast.

You know in all of this I feel bad for MAP and Tomei......no room left for those guys FP and CBRD has locked the stock appearing turbo market down. Great job Chad and Rob

I have no preferance as to manufacturer, only looking fo input, as to varibles to consider. This will take some time to compile as FP has a 4-5 week delivery delay due to demand. Please give me some time, as I use the car as a dd as much as possible. Tests wil be done at Gateway International Raceway, in Illinois.I am an Old school, hot rodder,50 year old, no flame fests please, Much more fun smoking V8's.
Is this still on?

Very nice to hear from someone that doesnt try to pit CBRD and FP as enemies.. we are simply two different companies with two different sets of goals in a similar market place...

apparently we both know how to find the needs for our respective clients.
