Imaginary build questions

Like most everyone else, I would like to build my motor and make some solid relaible power. So I'm trying to come up with a game plan on what and how to do it. Price is an issue, but I want to make sure it's done right. I will be doing all the labor minus the machine work and motor assembly which would obviously help costs. I also run e85 100% of the time so it would be a build based off that and my overall power goal. I don't have a number in mind, but I want to trap over 130mph on a street tune(not a all out drag tune) and keep it reliable. I wouldn't have the funds to put a turbo on it right away so at the moment I'm just looking to get the motor/block situation handled. So what I was considering is either A) building the block and saving a little money or B) buying a buscher block and using mine as a core. After that most likely go with a hta35r or possibly a 6262 both which should get me where I want to be on e85 I would assume? Considering it won't see pump gas, what do you think the best path is?

Well if you are going to do the assembly. I would go with the tried and true eagle rod/Wiseco 1400 hd piston combo. $800. Bearings are about$100. Does your block need to be machined? If so that will set you back around $400-500 if the bores are good then just give the block a good cleaning and quick ball hone and save some money.Your crank should be fine as well. If you take your time and keep everything clean and organized this project is easily done at home. Now if you not mechanically inclined and have no organizational skill then buy a built engine.

The motor has about 10-12k on it. I have pulled and replaced quite a few motors in evos now as well as doing just about everything else except a built motor. However if I'm going that far I want to replace all the seals, bearings etc so I don't have to worry or deal with it again. At that point I would guess that I'm looking at around $2200+?

at 10-12 k i would just do drop in stuff, as for a mitsu master gasket kit you are looking at an extra $300.
