Yesterday I went to the Drag Strip and no matter how I drive the car, I cannot manage to engage 2th/4th gear,!!!I have tried differents methods of shifting,adjusting clucth and nothing the same 2th/4th gear high rpm lockout..

this only happens when I lauch the car..after that when returning from the end of the strip I beat the car and It grabs all gears just fine..

Will Bleeding the clutch help?

Is there a fix for this?I have read hundreds of threads and no answer...

 

Which act clutch? the street disc or 6-puck?

Try bleeding it and adjusting the clutch pedal.

 

welcome to the club. I doubt there is a fix, cuz I spent alot of time and money trying to get mine work.
The full faced discs atleast are a waste of effort. i did a twin this weekend and a total night and day difference in every aspect.

 

your best bet is to get a exedy twin...
from what i read
ACT seen to have this kind of problem, alot of ppl had the problem you had
why didnt u search the forum before u brought the clutch
well, gd luck in solving the problem
but from what i see
i doubt theres a fix as AWD Terror mention

is the 6Puck one..Man this Sucks..I cannot even race on the Strip since I ALWAYS get 4th gear lockout when lauching the car..im bleeding the clutch to see if this help!

 

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I know you said you already have, but I would suggest adjusting the clutch again. This process can be very tricky to get it perfect. I spent a great deal of time dialing it in perfect (a gazillion adjustments) and I'm confident that if you did the same thing you could see similar results.

This is just simply my advice though. You could also bleed the clutch and see if that helps out. Change transmission fluid as well.

Which pressure plate combo are you using?

HD pressure plate or Extreme Pressure plate?
