Sounds great- thanks for the report.

Come on bro, wait for me to get my Evo and we can road trip up there lol.

Plan on six hours from your area, especially since you gotta watch your speed through NJ/NY area and traffic can be crazy.

The T hose assembly for Works P2 flash.

It's just removing the restrictor that is hiding on the vacuum line. Instead of trying to waste time fishing that brass pill, replacing the whole assembly is much more easier.

I talked to John at works. They designed a brass pill for it. Not sure it has a less restrict function or the other way.

We don't need to add any restrictors into the boost hoses to get the power we want.

We don't send our clinets under their cars cutting their hands on the fan shrouds to install hoses.

We get our power the old fashioned way. We TUNE the ecu to the car to get the most HP safely.

The people who waste their $$$ on through the mail flashes amaze me. We are seeing a up to 40 HP variance in the hp of stock evos. Vishnu reported the same situation a few months ago. The fact is the evos are not very close to each other in the way they run.

We start with a very good base map - and EVERY time we need to re-write the fuel map to match the individual car.
Its NOT safe to tune these cars through the mail and run them at high power levels. There is too much chance of running things too hot and causing damage or a vastly shorter life span.

Its very sad that so many people are wasting so much money on through the mail flashes and its even sader when we get them here on the dyno and see how far off they are.

As the next few months go by you'll be seeing a LOT of dyno sheets from us wlong with the a/f curves. We are proud of the way our cars make power and the safe a/f ratios we can run to get the power. The results speak for themselvs.

As for pills and restrictor hoses - we don't need them or recomend them. If your going to go through all the hassel to go under there and pull off the boost hoses you may as well put in a TX's manual boost controller while you're at it.

I find it comical that Works NOW is saying that they are making the P2 flash richer. What about all the crash test dummies who bought the P1 flash? What changed in the interm to sudenly make them no longer want to send out a 12/1 a/f ratio map through the mail???

We continue to release all our dyno sheets along with a/f and post them here. Let the educated customer be the best judge of what kind of tune is better for their needs.

posted this in another thread but i guess you missed it:

I live down in MD but if I had an Evo I'd certainly be up to a drive to CT to have you tune a nice safe reflash for me.

I'm always very interested in mods with a good margin of safety. If I get an Evo in the next couple months (and assuming these tunes you are doing continue to work perfectly) you will certainly be the one I use to tune my ECU.

Quick question: How does your ECU mod/flash/etc affect dealer service? Like if I bring my car in for service how easy would it be for them to know the ECU has been modified?

Say they're using a scan tool to pull a code for whatever reason on my car - would they be able to tell the ECU has been modified somehow or only if they were specifically looking at the timing/fuel maps?

Also, does the ECU on the Evo control boost hold or is it mandatory to also get a boost controller to hold a steady 19psi to redline?

Thanks for your work in offering EvoM members a healthy ECU mod! I'd appreciate it if you took the time to answer my questions.
