I have a jdm evo vii, and my oil pan/sump is gone.

basically, it was weakend with a bit of rust, then i think i must have hit something.

Oil is slowly seeping out...

i called mitsubishi for a new pan...now its been superseeded with a new one - i think evo 9 - and apparently i need a new oil return pipe as well.

options - cough up and buy a new one
- chop the damaged part, weld a replacement part on - like a patch up job..

what other options do i have?

I would just get a new one. Or find a good used one.

 

Where are you? When you say "sump" are you talking about the pick up? I have a used pan and a pick up if you're interested.

 

Buy a new one, it is a rather important part to have working properly.

no dont have a pic at the moment - cars at parents house up on jacks and stands..

its just the pan thats damaged and i think the oil return pipe will need changing too if i get a ix pan.

im hoping theres people out there with a spare of another engine or theyve upgraded to the ams wet sump lol
