Any one that has a slim fan connected that can help? There is 2 wires coming off of the slim fan.. They should splice into a factory connector.. Does the Stock Fan Control Box have only 2 connections going into it and one left open?

Yeah, I have it spliced into the factory fan wiring.. its not working so I'm trying to see if for some reason I am supposed to have another harness plug, plugged into the factory fan control box.. It has an open port on the side and I'm trying to see if that goes to the factory fan and not the aftermarket fan.. Or maybe for some reason I have a bad factory fan controller..

ok, just so im clear
the fan controller has 2 plugs. one which is a 3 pin - this goes to a harness that goes up to the fuse box.
the other, is a 2 pin (turbo side) which goes to the fan.
so at the moment, your slim fan is hooked up to the 2 pin side?
if yes, this should kick in at 92-94deg celcius
when the fan kicks in, it is only 1 fan that kicks in (on mine it is)
the other only kicks in when the a/c is working...
mines a vii though...

Hey, my control box has 3 harness plugs on it.. One is a bigger one (looks similar to the MAF plug.. I believe its a 3 pin), then there is 2 - 2pin ones. I have one of the 2pins spliced in (the slim fan has a power and ground coming off of it (grey and a blue wire, which are the same colors as stock wires on the 2 pin plug).. I cut the stock 2 pin plug off .. and soldered it to the slim fan wires.. then plugged it into the fan control box.. it doesn't kick on no matter how hot the car is!
I just wired my slim fan. I cut the wires from the two wire plug that goes into the stock fan. You have to figure out if your fan is reversible. If not, you have to make sure you know which one of the two wires from the stock two wire plug is sending power.
Hook up a test light to the wires and watch the temps on Evoscan. If the light doesn't come on, then the fan controller is not working.
You can also send voltage to the slim fan and check to make sure that the fan is working.
If the fan is not reversible, you can fry the motor by crossing the wires.

All you do is cut the plug off the stock fan and wire it on to the new fan and plug it back in. It should work regardless, weather you wire it reverse polarity or not. send power to it and make sure it will suck a peice of paper to the ac condensor if it blows the paper away its wired backwards.

Does any one know if the wire color match up on the fan and the stock connector? They are all the same colors (blue and grey).. So my question is, do you put blue to blue, grey to grey.. or do you mixmatch them? Thanks!
It wont matter. I think your fan controller is bad or not getting power. The only wiring you could do wrong would be to reverse the wires and that would just make the fan spin backwards it would still come on tho.
Just activate the fans in evoscan then see if there is power to the larger of the two plugs going to fan controller, if there is than its your fan or fan controller, if there isn't power going to fan controller than obviously you need to look in that direction.
And there is an unused spot for a plug on the controller from factory
