Hey all, i have an 05 evo with the greddy T67 25G kit. just wondering what are the symptoms of a cracked exhaust manifold? reason being i notice the manifold was cracked, removed it had it san blasted and reweld all the joints and reinstall and still having the same problems. what will the car do if the manifold is cracked? i'm trying to troubleshoot and i don't know if it's still the manifold. just need advice from evo owners who have this kit and what happens when you drive and it's cracked...thanks

 

how about you tell is what the car is doing...obviously the manifold had nothing to do with it if you got it fixed

 

It might be more Advantageous to tell us what your evo's symptoms are.

 

usually if a manifold is cracked, the noise can be detected if you take a look under the hood. also, if you hover your hands over the manifold you'll feel the exhaust pulses coming from the manifold if it is cracked. a hairline crack may be hard to notice but can be found with the car idleing.

 

Do you have the greddy ss exh manifold? SS manfolds are prone to cracking, the higher quality ones are less prone to it, but any can over time.

 

i have the same kit and iv heard they are prone to cracking but i have no issues.

 

Well now we think it's the ECU (power FC) that might be giving problems...thanks for the reply guys
