O was driving home yesterday on the freeway, all of a sudden the car will not go into boost, it gets up to about 4000 RPMS then I hear a sucking noise like a vacume hose and then the car starts jerking violently (I think its because the fuel is shutting off) and i have to upshift, when I rev up the car in nutral it does not do this but only when im driving, I was thinking it was a loose vacume hose or maby a bad boost leake,

I dont think so because before it was doing this when I did not hae the hose that goes from the intake to a vaccume selanoide

 

Yeah, do a boost leak check, sounds like you have a leak somewhere. Might also want to check your plugs.

 

sounds like a big boost leak, how does the car idle? i had this happen once when a cuppler came half off and would only leak at about 5 or 6 psi. car idled good and all.

 

Do you have a boost guage? How does your vacuum look?

 

its sitting at idol about 55 CM/HG on the stock MR gauges, when i push the gas it goes to about 65cm/hg cm/hg then starts to go towards boost, and the car idols perfect nothing is wrong even when I rev it in out of gear it sounds good, its only when im driving it.

 

have you done anything to your fuel pump recently?

 

nope stock fuel pump, it was working PERFECT , drove it down to the beach, drove it home and on the freeway out of nowhere it started acting all crazy, i was thinking maby i had got on it and it blew loose a hose or something
