headgasket?
headgasket?
Well last night went out with some friends car was running great. long story sort about 2 blocks from the house i decide to do one last pull 2 gear something goes wrong. first thing i notice is oil pressure in moving all over the place than 2 seconds later head gasket pops. coolant started flowing out right below thermosate housing. now my question is is it normal for oil perssure to flexuate so much when a head gasket blows? i have never had one blow on me before. the other thing is there is no oil on the dip stick anymore? is this normal? was full before i left work. i have not had any time to inspect yet i will when i get home from work. the motor and head have around 5000 on them with no problems until now witch sucks. well thanks for the help!
First of all, please try to type using proper grammar. That sh|t was hard to read.
It is very possible to blow a head gasket to the point where oil and coolant are mixing. A hg hardly ever blows between an oil passage and the edge of the gasket where you would loose oil down the side of the block. The oil is most likely in your coolant and/or cylinders. With 5,000 miles on everything, I'd say 85% chance this was caused by a bad tune, 15% chance it was poor deck surface.
Who did the machine work? Who assembled? Who tuned?

so about the grammar was in a hurry to get out of work. after so digging around found that the coolant line to my brand new turbo decided to come apart. the kit was bought used with a new turbo so who knows what the lines have been through it looks like the turbo ate the oil from not being cooled i would think. i will have the turbo off tomorrow to take a look at what needs to be done. to answer your question motor was a custom spec build with 10:1 compression and the tune was done by me. thanks for the help but i think i got it from here just need a new 1600$ turbo and i hope that is it.
It sounded like you already knew it was the head gasket. That's why I suspected detonation was the culprit.
The situation sucks, but I'd rather hurt a turbo than a motor any day. Good luck with the fix.
