Problems.....

Recently I have noticed my car cutting out in low gears, it seemed like it would sputter, but when I got on the highway and would get on it, it would seem ok.

I changed the plugs and put v power in it from shell in the hopes that I either had bas gas or bad plugs. Once again the car would sputter and cut out and this time I could smell a good amount of fuel. As soon as I got on the highway in higher gears it disappeared.

I checked for leaks and cannot find any places on my pipes where there could be a leak. I'm not really sure what else to try or what the issue could possibly be.

Please advise. Thanks!

When you say cuts out, You mean like fuel cut or just sputters , Jerks back and forth. Did you check the fuel sending unit in the trunk on of the lines from there could be leaking. But then you also said on the high at WOT the car pulls fine?/ Maybe a MAF issue or somehing with the tune?

Yea it jerks hard back and forth in the lower rpms.

It goes away when I get on the highway and start getting into higher rpms.

I can't figure it out, it jerks and the all of the sudden its ok.

Could it possibly be a clutch/ T case issue. My GVR4 would buck back and forth really bad at low RPM's but highway and anthing above 3k was fine. My t case was binding but I also know if the there is a clutch release issue it will do the same thing.

To me it sounds like two things already been said. Spark plugs to me are the main cause when it's jerking back and fourth on the gas. Then when boosting, at high boost or rpm you can experience fuel cut.

Maybe something with the fuel pump? I had a fuel pump lose a seal a few years and as soon as I tried to get on it it would cut out. Just throwing it out there. Hope you figure it out.
