I have an Apexi TBE. I am always complimented on its sound, at idle and WOT. It has a pretty large sized resonator which cuts down the noise. It is quiet compared to others I have heard, but the power is there.

Youtube different videos of exhausts. Maybe you'll get a better idea of what you would like.

I don't know if it's even made anymore, but the 3" Vishnu system is pretty quiet. It has a relatively stock looking appearance, v-band connections, and is quieter than most exhausts.

Tanabe Touring also with the Perrin HFC. No droneing at all, very mellow bass tone. Still sounds off nicely when you wind it up though.

You could also weld in another muffler in place of the cat.
Fujitsubo all the way!!

When I let my car idle next to another evo thats idling; you can hardly hear the Fujitsubo..

my buddy has a BR exhaust and I have a RS-r exhaust. My RS-r exhaust sound like a stock honda compared to his BR exhaust.

I'm guessing your BR exhaust has the Bullet muffler on it. Switch out the muffler to the Magnaflow they offer and it will be much quieter.

My Cobb is very quiet compared to others I have had and heard. Even on big cams it sounds very nice. I dont' have a cat, and the tone is very acceptable. At highway speeds it is hardly noticable. It does open up at WOT though.

I recommend header wraping the down pipe and the mid pipe out to the resonator. Not only will it keep the heat in the exhaust, but it helps the noise as well.

I have an HKS Carbon/Ti with a Magnaflow round muffler in the place of the CAT. It's quiet as can be at idle and cruising. It's just a bit louder then stock outside of the car idling. It gets louder when you get into boost but NOTHING like any other exhaust with just a 4" can on the back.

I'd recommend any exhaust with just 2 mufflers. One at the end and another round magnaflow somewhere in the mid section. You won't regret it!
