Quieter Exhaust...

Hey,

Just picked up a EVO IX today...It has the Buschur Racing TBE 3in exhaust/no cat.

Its definitely a little too loud for me. I have a 3 month old daughter as well, so we need something a decent amount quieter.

What can I go with that is still a 3in exhaust but a decent amount quieter? I don't mind running a high flow cat with the new setup either.

Thanks

The Greddy Evo2 is a quiet/quieter exhaust than the BR. The sound is deeper and louder than stock while still being subdued as compared to many of the 3" systems.

How quiet do you want it? If you want really quiet the fujitsubo is the quietest one i've heard on an evo, or the tanabe touring medallion.

You could also weld in another muffler in place of the cat.

It doesn't have to be as quiet as stock but at least a decent amount quieter than the Buschur.

Is the HKS Carbon-Ti considered a loud exhaust?

The HKS Carbon-Ti is loud but you can get a silencer for it. Or try the power agency muffler; really good and quiet.
