Bolt from exhaust manifold to turbo fell off....

So I was doing a 3rd gear pull and and suddenly heard a really loud exhaust leak.

About a month or so ago, I had an FP red put on the car by a local shop. Everything seemed fine until a few days ago when the car suddenly sounded like a diesel. Upon pulling off the heatshield I noticed the bolt from the manifold to the turbo was just gone and the gasket was coming up from the hole.

So now I have to spend some money on some gaskets and a few hours of my time. Should the place that installed the turbo be held responsible?? What would be the cause of the bolt just backing out and falling.....

Also can I get between the exhaust manifold and turbo without removing the downpipe...

Well, if the bolt was not there when you took the cover off, it was not put on to begin with. It's impossible for the bolt fall out of the hole with the cover installed.

The shop should assume responsibility for this.

Yes they should be held accountable for their install. You dident pay them to mess it up, but get it done right the first time.
