well since i changed the plugs on Friday . The car was running good except for the turbo problem am still having. No check engine light until this past monday on my way to work. As soon as am going up a steep hill and step on the accelerator the service light came back on. I checked the code again and now i have the po300 and a po172 . I will hopefully be doing a boost leak test next monday.
The P0300 is a random misfire - normal on evos with cams.

The P0172, means the system is too rich, probably because you have a vacuum line missing, installed to a wrong location or some sort of vacuum leak.

I Started the car this morning and it idle dropped down to less that 700rpm and almost had and engine stall . i had to hold the rpm to 1000 for a couple of seconds so the car wont shut off . am doing a boost leak test today hopefully i can find the problem . I also notice yesterday that every time i shifted to a higher gear and hit 4,000rpm it would loose boost badly . dose the turbo itself have a gasket .

did the leak test and found the problem . the braided hose connecting to the IC pipe near the colling fan had rubbed against the fan and got chewed away. There was a big hole in the braided hose underside. It make sense now. since i have the front bumper repaired by an auto body shop and the bolt holding the bracket of the inter cooler pipe was gone. they forgot to put the bolt back!!!

Thanks for every one that helped me and gave me advice And to the invention of the home made boost leak tester.
