Anyone have good results or familiar with BC cams?

Im getting ready to install BC 272 cams this week. Im getting tuned on friday. Anyone familiar with the power gains with them? I'm hoping to hit 330hp or better. The car is making about 300hp now. I've search several links and cant really find anything about them. If anyone can help. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks guys

They've just been proven to make less power than other popular cams. Also, a lot of them are just the slightest bit off spec on measurements, and require you to degree the cams when trying to get the most power out of them. I read a good post recently about them that said all this, I can't remember where or who said it, but it explained a lot. Also explains why they're considerably cheaper than other cams.

I've had BC 280s in my evo 8, they sounded great and my car was fast, I never got tuned on them though or anything.

Junk. Sell them and buy some decent used cams instead. If you do use them (which there is no reason why you should) I hope you have some adjustable cam gears so you can degree them properly.

Is another 50+whp at the 500whp power level worth an extra $200-300 for a better set of cams?

It's a no brainer.

I picked up 30hp-30tq DLL with tuning. I bought them when they first came out for like $270.

They def worked great for the price. I would def suggest other cams at this point as I know the Kelfords were not out and I am not sure if the S2's were either when I bought the BC's

Kelfords or S2's are the only cams I am considering at this point to upgrade to. Unless something better comes out before I build the bottom end.

Until then I'll keep the BC's in

M3s arent worth the lag. BCs are a waster of time and money. There are many threads that show power that can be gained without having to degree the BCs and the subsequent need for cam gears.

I have a set of BC 272 in my evo 8 I made 350 whp and 340 ftq, and all i had at the time was a drop in filter an intercooler with LICP, stock UICP, and full exhaust. I know there is better but i have no complaints.
