Exedy Twin Rubbing Sound

Hey Guys,

Well, I spent the dough on an Exedy Twin HD. It shifts amazing!

I put 450 miles on the clutch and brought it to Pocono today. It performed flawlessly, except one thing:

It sounds like its dragging now (after the track day). It still performs perfectly fine as it always has, it just has that sound that I'm not too excited about.

I was perfectly easy on this clutch for 450 miles. No launching at the track, though I did some aggressive downshifts.

Any input? Two searches on the topic brought up problems with shifting along with this sound, but I'm not having any performance problems (though will I?)

Thanks.

Same thing happened to my Exedy Twin HD.

I went to the drag strip and the next morning, I was pulling out of my garage and the clutch made weird noises that it hadn't the day before. They have gotten quieter over time but never completely went away.
The car shifts fine, hasn't slipped and I haven't had any other issues with it so I have assumed everything is fine. FWIW I also did a 500 mile minimum break-in on it.

Thanks Bink. Good to know; I appreciate your input!

Anyone else have this issue? Just so everyone knows, this is NOT about the usual noises that the Exedy Twin HD makes

i think you're fine. Mine make an occasional rubbing/whining sound when its being engauged... sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't.
