The price compares to an HTA turbo with Tial stainless turbine housing, Tial BOV, and Tial wastegate. At least on the turbo I'm looking at. (7064)

wastegate, yes external for me too. the bov i want though. i talked to geoff and it sounds like it will work better than anything aftermarket. much less boost drop during shifts.

speaking of geoff, i wonder whats up! originally it was nov 1st. then it was the 2nd. then the last day of sema which was today at 5pm. nothing yet! im really looking forward to the sierra sierra dyno sheet! its consumed my pathetic life! my days revolves around checking the forum for an update. pathetic? maybe.

Yeah, I was just looking at the prices. They are all definitely up there, especially with the built in wastegate.

Yeah, FWIW though, on the EVO turbo, a titanium turbine wheel is about $200 more then the inconnel version. Then the EFR is available in a "thin wall" divided stainless housing, which just flat out isn't available any where else.

I don't think the pricing is too bad really, all things considered. I wouldn't be surprised to see prices come down though, particularly with Garrett releasing mid-framed GTX turbochargers.

I understand why the BW EFR turbos are so large with the more robust and better sealed CHRA. But with the cramped engine bay of the EVO, it would have been nice to see something comparable in external size to the Garretts. I'm pretty sure somebody committed to making it happen could fit one of the internally gated BWs in an EVO.

The silly thing though is all the interest in the billet compressor wheels, EFR and GTX alike. Seriously, they are billet because it makes them cheaper to produce in smaller quantities. There is nothing performance about it. They sure do look pretty though...

Yeah, the stainless housings are great, I think thats almost a better feature than the TiAl turbine. Prices are pretty high, but with the built in features its understandable. A similar turbo from any other company would be the same.

The billet compressor wheels will withstand cycle fatigue better which really matters most in commercial applications, but with the smaller center hub blade length is increased.

That being said - Evos obviously love boost and the 1.05 a/r T4 twinscroll is the "sweet spot" for this application. The 1.05 vband housing is a direct bolt-in for Full-Race twinscroll t4 kits, and most other company's t4 twinscroll setups. IMHO the (3) hottest EFR turbos for consideration on an evo are:

EFR 76-70 (57.2mm inducer, 64 lb/min)
EFR 83-74 (62.6mm inducer, 79 lb/min)
EFR 91-80 (67.7mm inducer, 94 lb/min)

Can the EFR 8374 turbo match the pwr of the hta3586 & spool like the hta3582 ?
The sierra sierra evo runs at est 600whp @ 43.51 psi...(specs taken from their web site.)
I think sierra sierra evo may be using the EFR 76-70?

Pricing will be out within a week. The link posted to the other dealer with prices shows the msrp, they will be discounted a little from my understanding. Dont expect much though.

SEMA was unreal, the EFR launch had us swamped all week, sorry to keep you guys hanging. Updated EFR measurements/specs/comp maps/info, link here:

http://www.full-race.com/articles/bo...fr-turbos.html

click on the turbo selection matrix for full details. MSRP is posted for now, and Full-Race will do our best to get you guys the right turbos at the right prices. <fwiw the GT40R MSRP is $2300 without any of these features). Thanks to everyone for your patience!!
