mod list..what do you guys think

Hey all, long time car enthusiast, but new to the evo world. Due to my built rsx getting totaled i'm looking into buying an evo as long as i'm approved for the loan amount...here's my question...on an evo 9...intake, turbo back, turbo manifold, MBC,safc, and some type of reflash maybe an ams (10 mins from my house) or vishnu.(if you know of a better relash lmk) what awhp do you think i'll push out? tuned and untuned

SAFC belongs on 1Gs and 2Gs so leave that one off, AMS is next door and I think Vishnu doesnt mess with the Evo market much, and those mods on 93 should be something like 325-335whp on a DJ with good boost on stock cams.

^^^i was told some reflashes run lean up top and boost seems to tamper off close to redline...safc would help with the lean problem (correct me if i'm wrong)...as for keeping boost 19.5 from 1k-redline how'd i go about managing that? i heard works reflash will hold 19.5-redline...but any info would be great thanks.

A good tune will fix the lean problem (as will a fuel pump to make sure there is enough fuel). The taper is inevitable but an MBC on a big spike will keep the boost up out the top.

^^^car i'm lookin' to buy already has a 255 walboro fuel pump, yeah i figured the MBC would help keep the boost up...btw i was also wondering how do you tune a reflash? sorry for the nubby question...i just remembered on my rsx they had a hondata reflash or kpro...the reflash wasn't tuneable...it was just set in the ecu....i ended up getting kpro so it could get tuned.

you can use ecuflash to change the rom data tables to modify any tune on the ecu.

lol...1 more question what's safe boost for the stock turbo on these things? 19.5 is stock boost (correct me if i'm wrong). I plan on going somewhere between....23-25 (probably 24) lmk what you guys think.

u will be fine, the stock turbo can withstand a high amount of boost so 24 will be no problem
