yeah as long as cars off and clutch is it it's perfect

i tried adjusting the pedal and it hasn't helped any

Ok, pop your bonnet and check that your actuator housing isin't misaligned i.e the push rod is perpendicular with the plate it pushes. Look for any traces of leak while your there.

If all looks good, I would advise you to bleed your lines, make sure the pill was removed when you installed the clutch.

If your gears go in better when the car is nice and warm, this might be an idication that you have air in the line. When the fluid gets hot, it will expand and give you that extra push.

*edit to add:
Just trying to trouble shoot with you here dude. Push the clutch fully in then try shift into first no success release the clutch pedal back some then go to neutral and try again first, no success try releasing a little more. Obviously dont release to grip point and try, you will probably find a sweet spot to shift from dead stop and u can use that technique until you sort it out.
