Slightly old, found this thread while searching. But for the sake of the archives... That was probably my car. I swapped the MAF out for a straight pipe while you ate lunch. It picked up 12 whp on pump with no changes, but more importantly, it suddenly started to respond to tuning. Ultimate change was 333 to 354 whp, just taking off the MAS. The setup was a FP Green running low 20s for boost IIRC. I'm not surprised that at 30 psi it picked up a good bit more. We went up to 30 dropping to 26 on race gas for 395 whp, who knows how much of that it would have lost to the MAS. Some people poke fun at my turbo sticking out of the hood, but any increase in pre-turbo pressure is multiplied on the output.
