More wideband issues

Okay so I installed my wideband lastweek and was getting afr in the 12s but I was told the sensor was too far. (60in) so I got it welded in the downpipe and now at idle I get 15.3 to 15.8 while before it was 14.6 to 15.3. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

How do you have the power wired? Where did you tap into power for it?

fuse box from the cigarette lighter. Good ground. It was fine before it read 14.8 but then when I moved the sensor closer for more accurate results I got this.

How long has it been in the new spot? How long did you run it for while checking the gauge?

its been there for a day. I drove the car for 15mins so sensor warmed up. The wideband did show me richer readings in boost compared to its old location which it showed leaner readings.

Drive it long see if it goes back to where you used to be. Mine read lean at first when i installed it. After an hour of driving it went back to where it should be. IDK Might have been a fluke.

Did you plug the other hole where it used to be?

Yes, okay now that I'm at my desktop I can do a better breakdown. I got my wideband so I put it into the pipe behind the test pipe. I found out that was too far when I called AMS and they recommended to put it in the dp. So I went to an exhaust shop and they welded in a bung. I pulled the other hole and I moved the wideband sensor to the new bung.

Could it be my car has an exhaust leak and before wideband couldn't detect it because it was too far away, but now its closer?
