If your car is 5+ years old and you haven't replace the battery yet, I'd say its very normal for your car to do that.

strapped a new battery in, and the car fired up! I got the duralast gold from autozone. Has 640 cca's ~ $100 after I brought back the old 1.

quick question
reguarding the paper/cardboard cover (that went around the outside of the battery) I forgot to place it around the battery before I put it back in... Does it need to be around the battery? Im thinking if it possibly leaked or something... IDK Just trying to figure out the reason for it being there...
