This is very true.

I taped up the baffles underneath. I then put the gaskets back on the valve cover and bolted it to 3/4" piece of 2x2 plywood. I taped off all other holes, used some card board and rubber plugs.

When I was finished glass beading it, there was a little bit underneath the valve cover - I wiped it clean, then ran water over it - then let it soak. I then ran quite a few gallons of water through it and used many towels and Q-Tips to make sure I was good.

I let it dry overnight and took it out to my garage and hit it with compressed air for a while. I don't feel / see any media at all. It's good to go

Update -

I cleaned up and painted my valve cover with VHT paint. I also cleaned up and painted my MAPeformance ported and polished exhaust manifold. I wrapped my downpipe with DEI exhaust wrap and welded in a bung for my Wideband and also coated it with a silicone spray.

Had the turbo in the car last night but turns out the install kit doesn't come with the eye-bolts for the water lines. I ordered them from Mitsu today.

Slowly but surely....I'm getting there.

Haha, funny story....

I was at a family party yesterday and they were asking about my car. I pulled up the same pics to show them, and every time I showed someone they said the same thing....what's the plastic wrapping there on that purple thing??

I'm just trying to keep it clean until I start it !

so you got the whole race pipe situation done and straighten out? I got the race pipe on abbey recommendation i talked to Fp about which pipe to get and he told me get the race pipe and just cut it. Abbey said its larger so pushing more air/gas etc so dont get the reg 9 pipe. so i did. of course i dont have to handle it as JMS is putting it together but i knew it would be a pain to install.

Yes sir, I ended up cutting my ETS LICP because it was the easier of the two to cut and it allowed for a cleaner install than cutting the race pipe itself.

I'll snap some pics of that tonight
