Question DynoFlash and Dealership

OK I've got a question. I just recently got the reflash and have to take my car into the dealership tomorrow to get my Hydralc sending unit (for ABS) and left front tweeter replaced. Also they are gonna resuface my rotors.

I know they are gonna clear the Anti-lock cell using the shop computer. Does the dealership have the compablitiy to unflash my car? I mean would they have a reason or ability to reset my entire ECU?

the whole idea of "flash" refers to writing to the ecu. They can not over write it by resetting the computer. The would have to completely reflash it to stock to eliminate it

Resetting the ECU shouldnt change anything. They are using nonvolitile memory which means that the program will remai resident even with the power off...

Dont know if its a rom chip or what inside....

as for the dealer reflashing I dont think they have the equipment to reflash an ECU, but I could be wrong.

Do the dealership have tools to reflash it to stock? What would make them do that? I'm getting scared now

you are right on all counts

The equipment to flash is not available around here to dealers - only the factory guys can get it and no reason for them to do anything with it as all us evos have the same flash
