its not a bent power steering pump pulley, I have that particular mod on mine as well and it's been that way for around 50,000 miles.

This morning I was on my way to work (15 mile straight road) and about half way through it I was creeping up on a car. I decide to give it gas and go around him and my car was shaking violently when I gave it gas. Feels like its coming from the front of the car. Feels like there may be binding in the drivetrain somewhere or something.
this is exactly what my car is doing, and its the clutch slipping. Take it or leave it, I'm just sayin'. turn the boost way down and see if it goes away.

dunno what to tell you, the stock clutch slips, yes, rpms go up, car goes nowhere. if you have a clutch with a higher clamp load/different kind of friction surfaces that can heat up and grab, it will rock the engine back and forth, violently.

It feels like wheel hop. Tellin' ya. my ****'s been doing it for a month. Another guy had the same symptoms when his let go. There are other people on the forum that have had the same symptoms and same results.

Take it or leave it, but its easier to turn the boost way down to see than it is to track down some serpentine belt on a whim about a bent pulley.

It doesnt feel like wheel hop though, the car is being pulled left and right. And the clutch is freakin new, no launches, car is just a dd! The car only has a tbe, tune, and k&n drop in filter.

FIXORED!#!1!

First I ruled the power steering out, start with the easiest solution first. BTW after 3 trips to the auto store, its a 35" belt (part #350K6) to delete your power steering and ac.

Went for a drive and boy was the steering rock hard, even when rolling, more than it should be and it would pull to the right hard under acceleration but still yanking left a little under acceleration.

So I got to looking at the axles, I knew my tranny and diff were good, and I knew the clutch was good. All of the axles looked fine. I was like wtf. Well you could see a tad of what looked like grease spray by the passenger side axle. But it looked really old and it wasnt alot and the boot was clean. So I went ahead and pulled the axle and found about a 1" slit in it. It felt really slutted out when you turned it in the tranny too. Pulled it, luckily I had some evo axles laying around, swapped it out went and beat on it and it pulls smooth as ever under all variations of load.

I'm glad you found the solution to your problem. Where do you work? None of us have seen you on base. I drive a silver Evo with blacked out headlights and red tails! Get with us so we can help ya out in situations you come across with your baby.

Welcome to Clovis/Portales, NM. All 4 of us (GG IX MR, Black 8, My Silver 8, and the Red X) have plans on beefing up our engines.

Thanks! I work in power production. I drive all over the base and my eyes are always peeled for evo's and subies and Ive yet to spot an evo yet. Crazyness! I just got here about a month ago. Pretty much hating it. Haha Im a pretty good wrench hand to have, been building cars forever, got into drag racing bikes so right now im building a prostreet 09 busa. If you guys ever need a hand, or just wanna kick it, hit me up. Im usually bored as ****. Dont have any plans for the evo except to drive it, it gives me enough problems! haha Anywho, heres a picture of my evo, and my busa in progress.
