I installed one for a guy a while back. Two thing I noted...

1.) When tightening down the two O2-to-DP bolts, the springs fully compressed before the shoulder of the bolt bottomed, not allowing the exhaust to flex at this joint like the stock exhaust. This was because of the thick flange.

2.) The DP rubbed the x-fer case. (easily fixed with a press)

3.) The flanges are not stainless. More like a chrome plated mild steel. Last time I serviced the car the flanges were looking pretty rough and the piping started to develop tiny rust spots here and there, telling me that the steel is low grade stainless.

There are so many of these types of exhausts floating around.. there's a good chance that yours may be different, but it looks identical.

Other than me disliking the exhaust tip exit angle, I prefer the factory straight out the back look, I thought it was a hell of a deal. For the price, you simply can't beat it.

Now just get that exhaust coated before it slowly rusts apart...

I'm still waiting to see the results for fitment. I was going to buy this one as well until I read on one of the threads that it took around 6 hours, a lift, some welding, etc to get it to fit right.

Keep us posted Mcdougal.

(Also....people are bidding on them now. They are no longer .80 with the 79.99 shipping! LOL)

Thanks for the comments on my dog. My wife and I absolutely love her. We will never get another breed.

Here is one that is starting at $0.99. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lance...Q5fCarQ5fParts

After I won the auction I was honestly expecting the seller to email me telling me there was a mistake. They never did and shipped it to me without any problems.

It is hard to tell, but this looks like the exact same unit that I had on my prior car, which was an VIII. The ONLY problem with the other unit was that the downpipe flange was too thick and required me to shorten the springs that connect the downpipe to the o2 housing to get it to fit. Other than that it fit PERFECT. My new Evo is a IX and I imagine that the downpipe will have to be modified a bit to get it to clear the ACD.

I will post pics after it is installed.
