Possible Clutch Slippage

I have an evo with 45000 miles and still on stock clutch and the car has for a few months has been hesitating after i shift fast or get on the throttle abruptly. The clutch has never slipped during the middle of a pull, and problem has not seemed to have been getting worse. I originally thought it was something with the tune or spark plugs and after some adjustments and same problem. i' am starting to believe that the clutch is to blame. The clutch is getting a bit thin and the clutch pick up is getting high, so i was wondering if its possible that clutch was the culprit in the problem i stated above
thanks

best was to test is... while cruising in 5 from normal rpm....go wide open throttle and when boost kicks in and if your rpms jump up and you dont feel like the car is accelerating (kinda like a slipping feeling like revving in neutral) then your clutch is toast. most noticeable gear will 5th but you will notice this in lower gears as time goes on. hope this helps

still seems like a drivetrain issue.....does it do it at a certain rpm?? or when you're boosting at a certain psi??

around higher rpms when the turbo spools quickly, and only under when i step on the gas pedal abruptly to full throttle, does not happen when i step on it on the highway at cruising speed at 3000 rpm

Well I have 29k on mine and I'm at 332whp with no signs of slippage. However I don't launch my car, so thats probably helping keep it in good order.

Managing nearly 50k out of a stock clutch is pretty impressive! I'd be happy if I got that much! I'd say its time for a new one anyway, and see if that fixes your issue?

On my IX (bought brand new in feb 06), I clocked 44K miles and about 20 launches on my stock clutch (with about 320WHP), and it was still fine when the car was sold.
