When to upgrade your exhaust mani...?

I've already done the turbo back, and was wondering when is a good time to upgrade the EM...?

I have no plans on swapping turbos anytime soon... not for a long time...!

What kinda gains will you see from a mani with the turbo back, and an open element filter on stock boost numbers...?

I mean these things run a cool 1200, for the ones i've seen...

so what's the advantage of adding it...?

Actually the stock EVO 8 manifold is a very nice piece. I would highly recommend staying with it. The durability of it will not be outdone by anything aftermarket. The flow looks to be really good too. If anything you can take it off and clean the port up on it. Be warned though, it isn't like an old DSM manifold where large gains (if any) are going to be made from porting it. The manifold is darn nice out of the box and doesn't need much more than a slight clean up, if anything.

Just some thoughts, might save you some money that doesn't need spent.

I'm a Xede user and I love it. The software is easy to use and the base maps are nice and conservative. Any one that know how to tune a car can tune the Xede. This is also a all in one unit and the first mod I do to any car is EM. Just a suggestion. You might be better off with a reflash if your looking Plug and Play and drive off. I also like the S-AFC but you really have the ride the knock senser and run it lean to get the same power as you could with Ing advance. Timing control is very important.

I have used both on my EVO.
