Best Clutch for E85/Buschur FS635/2.3L car

Hey all,

i am going to be buying a clutch within the next week, and have been looking for something that has really good streetability (i drive my car 3 days a week to work) and also be able to hold a good bit of horsepower.

My three main wants: Durability (lasts for a lot of miles), Streetability, and holds the power.

Right now i am looking at (in order i currently have them ranked):

1. ATS triple carbon
2. Exedy triple cerametallic
3. SPEC twin ST
3. Exedy twin ceramatallic

Right now this car has a regular 35R on it, but it has a tilton ceramatallic road racing clutch on it, which is TERRIBLE to drive on the street. it makes me absolutely hate this car.

My setup will be:

Buschur FS635 turbo kit
Buschur race fmic
2.3L stroker

Looking for opinions and those who are making big power but still enjoy driving their cars more than just to the track.

QUARTER MASTER!

Sounds like you're putting together one hell of a setup, man!

i have heard the quarter master is extremely noisy... i really want to avoid that, as this tilton ceramatallic (road race clutch) thats in the car is enough to drive me insane.

SBR: Are you guys no longer up in Indiana PA any longer? I used to come up there to pickup race gas from you guys

With the 2.3 and FS635, I'd get the Exedy Triple. If you can afford it, definitely get the AMS push conversion. I don't think I've read a bad review yet.

I had a Tilton Carbon/Carbon in the car. I switched it out for an Exedy Triple Cerametallic and couldn't be happier with its performance on the street.

I have multiple 9 second passes on my Exedy Triple Cerametallic and over 20,000 daily driven miles. Great clutch, will definitely buy again.

I have a Br build also, running the exedy Triple cerametallic. No problems at all.

I would suggest #2.

I would not go with the quartmaster, that **** drives me crazy which is the reason why my car is in the garage most of the time.

Nope, we both have regular pull-type setups. Just add a couple "waivy washers" to prevent the clip from popping off and you're good to go.

4 washers to be exact

No problems here either on my triple. Ran 1 for 2 years and bought another when the used 1 I got from Dan B wore out.

I have a custom Spec super twin clutch kit for sale....It was sent in to Spec to get looked at and now fully rebuilt and like new. The clutch had 1k miles on it when I sent it back. It now has all new discs/pressure, intermediate plates etc. If you are interested PM me and i'll explain it all. The spec has NO noise and feels Better than stock pedal and engagement wise
