My quartermaster took a dump
Well today was not my day, the quartermaster decided to take a dump. The car seemed normal this morning on the way heading to school. After class, i fired her up, i realized my clutch was not feeling right.
Normally the engagement-point is pretty high, but the pedal was stuck down low and the engagement point was low also. Drove her to blockbuster to return the "Orphan" (crazy *** movie btw). As i drive and go in and out of gear i realize the clutch is now stuck to the ground and the engagement-point kept getting lower and lower. I only had a half of inch or less to press in before going into gear.
As i was on the freeway, one exit away from home on steady traffic. I was going fourth into fifth gear, it would not allow me to go into gear no more. So pulled over to the right shoulder, tried going into gear again but i was locked out. Saw this coming as soon as i started the car when i was out of school, lame.
Waited for like an hour or more, got her towed home for 76 bucks. Now its just sitting outside my house on the sidewalk, cant even drive that **** into the garage. If anyone is selling a evo8/9 car-cover, lmk.
Guess my plan for getting her mullerized is donzo for now.
My plan now is going back to stockclutch, i dont think there is any clutch out there that feels smooth as stock. If there is any opinions on clutch that holds power and feel like stock, feel free to let me know. I didnt really like the quartermaster, it was too noisy, and not forgiving. Although, it shifted like butter in high rpm.

sounds like the hydraulic release bearing went bad not the clutch. QM uses a hydraulic release bearing instead of the standard OE bearing. If you want a quiet twin get Exedy. If you want a single the ACT HDSS is a nice unit for the money.
A stock clutch will not hold more than 300AWHP for long. The twin may be over kill but is a great option that is what i want when i upgrade to a Red or Black.
