Alternator help needed!

I just replaced my alternator but found my connector was cracked so i got a connector, wired in and here we are with an issue.
Connector is gray and has light blue removable piece insde by pins but will not snap into alternator UNLESS i remove the blue piece inside.
Alternator is charging at 11.9volts and once idling for a for minutes i can barely run any lectronics, lights, radio etc.
Turn off car and click click. no start. check battery and shes drained down.
charge up and test charging system and i am holding steady at 11.9v

I know battery is borderline but if charging system is not up to par with voltage i want to fix that before i buy a battery.

i dont know where else to go with this. Possible i got a bad alternator from Mitsu? I amstumped and my electrical buddy at mitsu has been sick and turned off his cell on me.

Well just take the alternator to like o'reilys, they do free inspections to see if they're working. Might be an easy way to narrow it down.

Sounds like the pins in the connector aren't lining up. An alternator is an electro-magnet. It needs power to work. You have 0 alternator output if your only getting 11.9 volts and thats what your battery is at. Make sure you got the right connector end on. Compare the old one to the new one.
