oil pressure sending unit

oil pressure sending unit

if you take the sending unit out could it keep the car from starting cause its not sending a signal to the computer?

ok well i just rebuilt my motor. at first it wasnt firing cause the crank sensor went out. changed that and i got spark now it doesnt look like its throwing a very big spark though. i pulled my fuel line and i have fuel what do you think it could be

You pulled the fuel line at the rail I take it? This is a crank no start correct? Try starting it and lightly putting your foot on the throttle. The IAC could be clogged leaving no air to get into the engine.

ya it cranks over. ive tried giving it some throttle while starting it. ill pull it off and check it out and try to clean it some. is there anything else that could be causing this?

i really thinking its the spark issue cause when i stick a screw drive in one of the spark plug boots i have to get it really close for it to start sparking. but i have no idea why it would be doing that

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on and what is it reading??

nope i dont have a fuel pressure sensor but i shot a stream out of the line so theres good fuel pressure

You did double check the timing??

Sorry to ask... I see that you rebuilt the motor. Maybe check some grounds for a better spark??

Explain how close really close is? Your not going to be able to get 2 inches of spark out of it.

i mean like less than quarter of an inch then itll start sparking to the screw driver
