Best rods for street car/weekend warrior?

I did search but didn't find what I'm looking for, my car is not a true DD maybe I drive the car twice a week and track(drag and road course), I need to build my motor soon its burning oil bad.
Now the question is what rods for the long run, in the future I'm going to change my red turbo for a 6262 or hta86 runing 28-29psi on 93 and 35 and up on race gas, I need my build to last money doesn't grow on trees right now, why not advice on pistons too .

this is what I was thinking for rods and pistons Manley TT I-beam with Ross,JE or CP

Turbo tuffs or equivalent. I wouldn't go with a billet design unless you are truly racing.

Vic i would do JE's or the AMS ross pistons they have a hard anodize coating wich i like very much.
There are many rods out there, turbo tufs, carrilos, i think olivers are playing with the big dogs i vote for these.

get a shop that will stan behind their engine, hard to find but you can find them.

Im building my motor with the same requirements and using a 6262. after searching around and talking to a few people i went with Manley TT I beams and wiseco 1400hd pistons. I have used the I beams and Wisecos in my old talon and never had a issue. I couldn't find one bad thing about the wisecos.

Turbo tuffs for sure, we use them on everything that they make them for. We keep them in stock too if you need a set

My data shows 690g for a 6-bolt DSM Manley TT. That is second-hand info so I cannot verify, and I assume includes the bolts. Is 637g a bare rod?

Oliver CNC billet rods are around 580g bare IIRC, and those are 156mm pieces. Carrillo H-Beams are around 520g bare.

In general, I'm not a fan of heavy rods in applications that see high piston speeds. We've seen many motors here with many different rods over the years, and breakage really hasn't been an issue regardless.

My opinion is that IF the data I have is correct, 690g is just too heavy and needlessly clunky for my liking.

Just my $ 0.02!

I'm with Chris that is all we recommend and use in The Shop Evos. I'm not worried about weight. I plan to go Wisco Pistons and Turbo Tuff rods.
