Hey Guys
I have purchased a TS35r 1.06 and when I received it, it did NOT have the ported shroud housing like stated on my invoice... They said for ME to send it back, which obviously would cost money for shipping and they would replace...
Problem is I live in New Zealand and its a semi expensive excersise...
They did say that because I have a stroker motor I WILL NOT have any surge..
But I thought that all the TS Stuff they sold had ported housings...

This is not meant to be a dig at Full-Race as they have been great to me, but I need to know what you think I should do..... OR what they should do...
I would love them to send me a new housing asap and when it arrives doing a swap with the shippin company here in NZ and they return this housin back to FR at their cost... what do you reckon??

I'd say you're correct though, they should assume the shipping costs. Especially if you were charged for it on your invoice.
Companies make mistakes but def they should cover your return shipping in your case. Did you explain this to them. IMO that would have been the way to go

I had a simlilar instance with PTE. They sent me a new cover and paid the return shipping. No cost to me, great to deal with. F-R should cover all expenses related to their mistake.
Good Luck!

im with batty on this one - a company should "eat" the cost shipping if they screwed up, if it was a mistake on your part by chance by not ordering it, then thats a different story.
I wonder if they can't read that you are in new zealand?! lol

^^ Agreed.... I emailed them last week and I have yet to receive a reply.... I really want my car on the road before xmas.... thats why I was hoping they might be able to send a new housing first and arrange pick up at their end rather than FR wait for my housing and then send another one once my one is received by them... thats almost 2 months

sorry for the delay, i'm back and it looks like everything is all sorted out. I did however want to make sure we are clear on the 2 ported shroud options though
here are a pictures of the 2 options. The first picture is most common for the 35R. Second picture is a GT3076R housing that can be machined for the 35R.

Also - this is how the new GT35R compressor housings will look from garrett in the near future (mid-2010):

this is their old style that is supposedly getting discontinued sometime next year:
