Increasing DISPLACEMENT and REDLINE.....
Yo waz up people....
Do you think it is possible to increase the dispacement on the 4g63 AND increase the redline?
I know there are stroker kits but that may decrease revabliltity a little.
What about:
Increasing bore and stroke and going w/ custom forged pistons and connecting rodsk, and billet steel crankshaft. That way by increasing the bore AND stroke you may keep a better stroke rod ratio situation.
Also
Moving to anouther engine.... I forgot its name right now but it comes stock w/ a 2.3L displacement and then it would be up to us to increase its redline.
Oh and thought out ideas and your awesome knowledge. Forget about money.
Peace!

The stock evo engine really doesnt need additional bore or stroke.....THese engines have been known to handle well over 500 hp and Forged internal is a plus and you can get far beyond 500hp.
If your doing a reuild why not bore .20 with forged pistons etc.
But dont go into a good evo motor for the hell of it or unless you have the right know how...
There are stroker kits for the 4g63 but many many people stick with the 2.0 liters and up the boost.
The only need for increasing the displacement on these cars is for the lower end torque.... and this often leads to other issues.
This topic has been covered many many many times.... Do a search for toda and jun and you should find your answers. also try looking at all of the DSM shops around its been done before with the eclipses and talons etc...
Hope this helps.
