help-car severely lacking power

So to start off, the car has been like this since the time I have owned it. I got it from an auction for a really good deal and was hoping it was a minor fix. Anyhow, here are the symptoms: The car is SEVERELY lacking in power. By this I'm saying that it runs like a regular four banger and is just a little bit faster than my ex gf's auto scion TC. It misfires during WOT at the higher RPMs (usually around 5800 or so). And there is a loud ticking from my motor, that my friend who is a mechanic described said, "it sounds like a diesel." This ticking follows me from idle and scales with engine load. I also noticed oil around my turbos inlet, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it. There is no white smoke coming out of my exhaust either.

I have also added videos and pictures of what I am talking about. In the video of my car idling, I am putting my hand in the areas where the sound seems to be coming from. Also in the video of my car driving, you can hear it misfire at the tops of second and third gear.

My predictions are the following, but I can't say for sure because I'm no mechanic. All of my predictions are based on searches I have done on this site and norcalevo.

1. Broken lifter

2. Broken lifter and possibly bent valves

Would any of these cause the symptoms that I am experiencing?

Any other tips or help would be VERY much appreciated. I'm planning on taking my car in to FFTEC, but saving up the funds, so that if it is something major I can get it fixed right away.

Thanks.

You might have excessive oil in your maf. Simple thing to start off with is inspect it. if its soaked in oil get some crc MAF cleaner. clean out the excess oil through the pipes as best you can. Boost leak test, and check your spark plugs. Make sure your dv is installed correctly, and other obvious stuff like that. Start off with these before you take it in to a shop and save yourself some money.

Oil on the maf doesn't make the motor sound like that. Have you checked shaftplay? from the pics it looks like the compressor wheel has been contacting the housing.

That much oil in the intake makes me suspect either a blown turbo or excessive blow by.

1. check shaftplay
2. compression test (advanced should loan you a compresion tester or harbor freight sells them for 20 bux)
3. pull the o2 housing off and check shaft play on the turbine side.

not by itself. I was just saying that is one of the things to check as well. It sounded in that vid to me like turbo or possibly engine issues (bent valves?)
how does it spool? does it boost to stock levels? I think its 19 then tapers to 16 ish I beleive.

It's the P003 or something code. It's cylinder three misfire.

Not stupid, I saw the oil around the inlet and I thought to myself, "aw ****!" and took some pics and put it back together. I probably should try that...

It currently is running off of the WG actuator, which is a FP turn style adjustable actuator. It is set at 19 psi and reads 19 psi but the power is just not there. It runs like a regular four banger and is a little sluggish in the higher RPM after the turbo spools (3500+ish).

Boost line is not connected somewhere... check the intake manifold where you have your boost line T'd off.

From the pictures you took of the turbo it look like your impeller blades are a bit chewed up. Also looks like there score marks on the housing where the impeller blades may have been contacting, so your turbo may be shot. Check for shaft play like someone previously suggested.
