What size injectors should i get? FP Black

As of now i am taking off my head to do arp head studs, gasket, removing and plugging egr, porting head, IM, EM, s2 cams, beehive springs, maybe valves depending cond. all myself. The head is almost off as i speak.

I will be purchasing a fp black soon and running 93 pump gas and maybe race gas (wish i had e85 in my area, hopefully soon) and i am not sure what size injectors i should get. The block will remain stock with arp rod bolts unless i see excessive wear in the cylinders. The ix only has 42,000 miles.

Mods

samco intake w k/n filter
3" tbe cat delete
titek v2 o2 (will be modding to 3" v-band along w/ megan down pipe)
255 walboro
3.5 ets intercooler kit w/ short route piping (mini battery)
stock ecu ( maybe v7 patch when im done)

Thanks, Walter

If your just running pump gas and maybe race gas I think you would be fine with doing 1000's to 1200's for stock block.

Run a set of FIC 1050's. We ran them on our car last year on a single fuel pump and went 10.0@142. Give me a call at the shop for a great price on them. On second thought we have a set of good condition used ones sitting here as well.

Interesting-- recommendations to almost double the size of the injectors....hmmm, From what I has seen on this forum stock will get you to 400+hp. Might want to work with someone who has experience in stead of opinions. Just a thought.

ROFL.

I have experience just not with the black. Knowing what it does and how much air it provides I guessed based upon the fuel output of the injectors and the flow of the turbo.

stock injectors will not get you 400whp.

I guess emery doesn't know anything either right?

The FIC 1050's will provide lots of fuel, as much as or more then precision 1200's.

He is putting on an FP Black which is capable of 600+hp with simple bolt ons. These guys are giving him good information.

I would have gone bigger, unless you don't mind buying injectors more than once. I guess at a used price it would be okay to do though. I can tell you right now on 1150s and two fuel pumps I run out of fuel at 550whp (E85). Add 30% on race fuel (.3 * 550 + 550) = 715. I am going with fic2150s next, I'm not messing around

I have the FIC 1450's in my personal car and they are better than most 1000's. I have personally tune in a bunch of injectors and I have to say that these are the best injectors on the market.

My stock injectors see 100% IDC at 24psi on the stock turbo and would be lucky to make 330whp. I would recommend at least 1200cc or larger to give you room to grow. Personally I like to buy injectors once and size them for future upgrades. Large injectors are very tunable on the stock ecu.
