p0138 confusion

I threw the above code (O2 Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank1, Sensor2)) And from what I have read it's telling me there's something wrong with the rear o2 sensor (hence, "Sensor2"). I have had my current set-up for over a year now and this has never occurred. As far as I was aware, I don't have a rear o2 sensor (I do have an UEGO though). So is the code telling me that there is a problem with my wide band? I have a Perrin test pipe with the o2 sim. and it has given me no problems to date. I have tried clearing the code but it comes back the moment I start the car.

Can anyone help me please?

Unless the wideband is wired into the ECU its telling you the O2 simulator (assuming its electronic) has failed. If you self tune you can disable all the codes and maintain emissions compliance. Your tuner should be able to accomplish the same stuff as well.

If you have the mechanical O2 fix and the O2 is still plugged in it could be a bad O2.

Has nothing to do with your wideband. Sounds like a bad o2. Don't waste the money on one your not using anyway, just remove it via the rom!
