injectors sizes for e85???

well everyone I am doing an e85 build over the winter. Looking to run about 600 hp. Going to be running a 5857 turbo with descent boost. Let me know what size injectors I will need to run this much power??? Thanks for the input.

1450cc will do the trick, you'll also want to do a twin walbro fuel pump kit like the one from Buschur Racing

If you can afford the extra $40/$50 or so, I would just get 1850s, why go smaller and give yourself less headroom? So you can buy another set later down the road?

depending on the brand, some larger injectors run like crap or not at all when they require 16v

I was referring to the FIC bluemax. They do, however, recommend the box with it which is another $200 I believe, so price would be more like $600 or so instead of $400. I can't remember if they recommended the box for their 1650s or not.

Having said that, if he is running e85, they might be fine without the box.

I am just going with the $1000 2150s, which don't require a box, but I am tired of buying new fuel injectors.

I'm running the 1650CC bluemax, not so hot on pump gas for idle/cruise very rough, but considerably better with e85. The car would not even start with the 1850cc

You try the truetune box or whatever they call it yet?

*edit* easytune. Also did you try the 1850s on gas or e85?

no, the box was still in development at the time.

the 1850cc wouldn't even spray on a 14v system, the car wouldn't start, they are designed for 16v. I dropped down to the 1650cc. I'm seeing 90% IDC with 700awhp (DynoJet) on e85

Yea, with my inline fuel pump system (walbro in tank/bosche 044 inline), hard to say what that would be good for on 1650s. I have better flow at higher pressure, but not overall like the twin in tank systems. I doubt I will hit much higher than 600whp when I build my engine, but I like a lot of headroom for future upgrades.

I am maxed out right now on 1150s @ 530-540whp.

If I had it to do over again I'd go with the ID2000cc injectors but they are pretty expensive. I might change to them eventually.

I think the 750's will be sufficient

750s won't be sufficient to max out your stock turbo on E85. Doing some quick math, I come up with 828cc at 100% duty cycle needed to support 43lb/min airflow at a 11.5:1 gasoline calibrated AFR (.783 lambda).

You will be able to max out your stock turbo on E85, so your current 750s won't support it (at least at the .783 lambda/11.5:1).

The 750s on E85 and a maxed turbo would lean out to about 12.9:1 (gas calibrated).
