2.1L Motor Build, I need your help!

I'm looking to build a 650+ WHP 2.1L motor. I found that I am going to need a 4G64 block and longer rods. What else am I going to need to install this in to IX?

Looking to also run high compression, thinking 11:1. Who makes 11:1 for the 2.1L? Anything else I need to know about 2.1L pistons?

What crank am I going to need? 4G63 or???

What lenght of rods?

Planning on running my FP Red or a new Black Turbo to get me to that 650+ WHP!!! Will only run E-85 or E-100.

Is it best just to get a complete kit like this?

https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...dfda9e05878883

Or even, having it assembled like this?

Have it assembled and sent to you. I wish I had me engine built by someone else. Never know with the shops past but with DB it's reliable. Move the GRP rods too. Make that puppy spin fast. See if he can knife edge the crank too.

For some reason, I knew that YOU would say, have it assembled and sent to me But I know that Tobz would really like to build my motor!

On another note, you ever get that thing running with the dual fuel rail setup?

if its going in a ix you will need to modify the mivec cam gear and also come up with a solution for the mivec oil feed from the block. Without looking into I am unsure what pin height pistons and what length rod you need to use. I encourage you to read over the article in engine turbo and drivetrain called "to stroke or not to stroke"

Magnus Motorsports has more proven stroker combinations than anyone else I know. They make a long stroke 2.1 and a 2.2. Get more information here: http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/engines/dsm.htm

They also sell pistons with compression ratios that are not shown on the page...

For a 2.1, a standard 4g63 crank

Depends on whether you are building a destroker or a long rod version. Standard rod with a bore increase and appropriate pistons, or a long rod (better rod ratio) with a bore increase and appropriate pistons...

My car nope. The car runs, it works I just took my fuel injectors off and my BOV and sold them to some other people. So the car would run. but I am tapped out for cash for the time being and besides I don't drive it in the winter anyways.

It may not be running for a while till next yr cause if it all works I won't be here in May-Sept of this coming yr so there is no reason to fix my car when my future is a bit blurry right now.

The 162mm / 88 mm combo ends up at 1.84 and the 156/88 combo is 1.772.

Compression height on the 2.1 pistons is around 1.13", the 156mm are going to be 6mm more, so 1.366 almost stock I think.

I would just let buschur assemble your whole long block. That way you don't have to worry about anything and everything is done right the first time. Besides buschur will stand behind his work in the event of a failure about 99.99% of the time.

I agree with josh on doing alum rods as well.
