PLX Installed on mild motor
I installed a PLX wideband controller that I had in the closer for about 3 years. I saw that another member installed his above the gauges so I took a crack at this mod. It took me about 2hrs to hack the stock piece and shape a hole for the display unit. It actually fits in this spot very well. I then took a hot glue gun from the back side and tacked the piece in place. Some nice industrial adhesive on the backside and some black silicone on the show side and I was ready to roll.
I wanted to start some upgrades to my EVO 9 and watching O2 values is critical. I have a 24x12x3.5" Garret core courtesy of MPFAB, turbohoses.com intercooler pipe, ebay 3" turbo back exhaust, greddy Profec B (21psi) and K&N drop in filter. Hooked up the wideband and the car runs between 11.2-11.5:1 on the wideband from what I can see on 3rd and 4th gear runs. I was thinking the AFR's would be much richer from the factory, but I guess not.
