Front Diff fluid?

So I'm reassembling my transfer case and wasn't sure does the front diff require fluid in the front diff carrier? I tore the front diff out to remove a broken front output shaft and replace it. I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere.

lots of oils you can use.

I use Motul in mine, 80w140. Very thick stuff. Lots of guys down here in Aus use similar fluid and have no issues, however, it does get quite got down here.

Lots of street cars I know have had great experiences with stock Mitsi fluid.

Yes, if you can change the front diff fluid only, you will be the first to do it.
