Engine rebuild, High Oil Pressure
Engine rebuild, High Oil Pressure
I need some help troubleshooting high oil pressure. I'm reading 130+ psi at the oil filter housing and my dipstick has blown out twice now. I'm taking the car back to the shop and would like to know some possible causes and remedies.
At idle once the car is warmed up I'm seeing 20-25 psi. As soon as I accelerate it ramps up to 90-100, around 3000 rpms and continues to increase after that.
Mods
AMS 2.0 rebuild package
ring gaps to Ross specs
AMS Moroso Oil pan
AMS Balance Shaft elimination kit
K1 Billet Crank
New stock Oil Cover and pump
10w-30 Oil

sounds like you may have 2 seperate problems, blowing the dipstick is from excessive crankcase pressure not high oil pressure. Are you running BS, oil squirters and has the oil relief been ported?
Oh, I forgot to mention that I removed the balance shafts. Yes, still running the stock oil squirters. Oil relief has not been ported.
