Well are you taking DD rev limit? racing Rev limit? or the rev limit before everything explodes into fine dust?? Safe limit 7800 rpm (i would guess)

It sounds as though the rod ratio is slightly better than a 2.3 but still worse than a 2.0 so I would give it 8200rpm or so max. If you want to be safe for every day 8k would be conservative enough. If your going for broke and racing it, then 8500 might be an acceptable limit.

Since when?

To answer your question the rod stroke ratio is still 1.597 which will be good for low 9k. This combo seems to peak out at 7900 or so anyway with a big turbo (3586 and Magnus) so anymore than that isnt really needed. Look at my build thread in my sig.

Dyno it, find the peak HP, shift there. Set the rev limit at 8500-9000 RPM. Mine is set at 9k for 4th gear run out at the strip. Thats stock block and head. I shift around 7800-8000 with the Red.
