Either that or a make shift substitute. I think my buddy did it with an allen wrench or something like that, but the special tool is much easier to use.

Its a long bolt lol. extreme psi has them for 20 bux but you can get some all thread and weld a nut to the end if you have acces to welder. There is info on it in the how to section I think.

Your talking about the detensioning tool, not the tensioning tool. I don't even use the detensioner, because I have a large c-clamp I use to recompress the tensioner once I unbolt it. He can get the detensioner too though or a large C-clamp, it doesn't matter.

I would recommend the large C-clamp as I can never get the stupid tensioner to line up properly. You will still need the tensioner tool though which looks like a square with an arch on the bottom and two small metal pins sticking out.
