ok so let a local college tear my tranny down as i waited on a clutch and flywheel got the tranny back. checked the gear select for 3rd, 4th 5th and reverse...but for some reason missed 1st and 2nd. took my sweet time putting it back in and just finished most of it last night.....went to install the cables and check the shifter no 1st and no 2nd gear. 3,4,5,r all there. i can hear the roller pill on the collar rod but no gears...im assuming that the shift collar rod has fallen away from the gear select...havent even looked at a picture blow up of this trannie yet as am in school till 10:00pm HELP i totally need a

 

oh and i all new bolts and clips and oring....etc.....from mitsubishi.....the cable bracket was my first problem...i thought....so i replace the old clips with new ones but then check the gear select at tranny and found it wasnt the cables at all!

figured it out....the college kids "forgot" the roll pin on the 1st and 2nd shift collar fork....i tore it down and cleaned it real well and tonight im putting it back together............ right.
